Our Italian Sausage, seasoned with fennel seed and other rich spices, gives this classic jambalaya dish a flavorful makeover.

Recipe Ingredients

1/2 cup
diced onion
1/2 cup
diced celery
1 can
diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
1 pkg.
frozen cut okra, thawed (10 oz)
1 cup
chicken broth
1/2 cup
uncooked rice
1/2 teaspoon
hot sauce
1 teaspoon
oregano
1 teaspoon
thyme

Instructions

In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until brown. Set sausage aside.

In same skillet, saute onion and celery until tender.

Add cooked sausage, tomatoes, okra, chicken broth, rice, hot sauce, oregano and thyme. Stir to combine. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until rice is tender.
