CARING FOR MILITARY MENTAL WELLNESS

Not all wounds are visible.

“Making a Difference, Bite by Bite” is one of the programs under the Bob Evans Farms Our Farm Salutes umbrella, which we launched in 2016 as a way of giving our military heroes and their families the support they so greatly deserve. Now in its third year, “Making a Difference, Bite by Bite” is focused on supporting valuable mental health services for military heroes and their families.

In the program’s inaugural year in 2021, we donated $100,000 to the USO.
We are proud to continue to support the work they do to improve the lives of service members and keep them connected to their families and homes with an increased level of support in 2023 with a donation of $125,000.

OUR PRODUCTS

Make your meal mean more, bite by bite.

From July through September, select Bob Evans® dinner sides, breakfast products and Owens® Sausage products will feature the Our Farm Salutes and USO logos to pay tribute to military service members and raise awareness of the need for services that support their mental well-being. Research shows that the stressors of military life and separation from family during deployment increase the risk of mental health issues.

Bob Evans Farms is partnering with celebrity chef Andre Rush, a military veteran who worked in the White House as a chef during four administrations to share his story of resilience and the benefits of bringing people together through food.

OUR PARTNER

The USO

The USO strengthens America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation.

Since 1941, the USO has been the nation’s leading organization to serve the men and women in the U.S. military, and their families, throughout their time in uniform. From the moment they join, through their assignments and deployments, and as they transition back to their communities, the USO is always by their side.
