Because kids serve, too.
Military kids are special kids. From frequent moves to long-distance parenting, they face a life of uncertainty and constant change. In their own way, their lives are also lives of service to their country, which is why Bob Evans Farms is expanding ‘Our Farm Salutes’ in 2022 to include a new program – Purple Heroes – focused on helping the children of military families.
Donations
In 2022, Bob Evans Farms donated $60,000 to Operation Purple® Camp, a National Military Family Association program. The donation will allow 100 additional military kids the opportunity to attend a free week of summer camp for the 2022 season.

Operation Purple® Camp
The National Family Association’s Operation Purple® Camp is a free summer camp offered exclusively to children of military families. Since its inception in 2004, it has served more than 65,000 kids, giving them opportunities to swim, canoe, climb, learn archery, create arts and crafts, make friends and talk with counselors about how best to overcome the stressors of military life.
