Our Company History

For more than 70 years, Bob Evans Farms has been delivering farm–fresh goodness–delicious, quick–to–table farm-fresh foods that are sold in grocery stores all over the country.

Today, we are proud to be the #1 selling refrigerated dinner sides, including many varieties of mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. We’re also a leading producer and distributor of over 60 varieties of sausage and bacon products, egg whites, frozen handheld breakfast items and other convenience foods.

Our success is built on the basics: high–quality, farm–fresh, quick-to-table food, carefully made to meet the needs of today’s busy families. We do all the washing, peeling, seasoning and cooking, so you can enjoy extra mealtime with your family and spend less prep time in the kitchen.

Our Values

Our values are our compass. They guide every decision and can’t be compromised, and reflect that our people and their behaviors matter.

Value #1 – Put Safety First

Nothing is worth making if those who make it and those who consume it aren’t safe.

How can you Put Safety First at work?

Safety is always on your mind. You call out unsafe behaviors and processes.
You follow your safety training to the letter and you don’t tolerate anyone cutting corners. You ask for help when you need it. You proactively identify and share opportunities for enhanced safety in your work environment.

Value #2 – Win Together

Strive to succeed as a collaborative, inclusive and diverse team.

How can you Win Together at work?

You seek what is best for Bob Evans Farms. You’re open to others’ ideas. You consider how best to engage teammates and enable their contributions. You see your coworkers for who they are. You seek out diverse perspectives and invite feedback to help improve the outcome.

Value #3 – Do the Right Thing

Act appropriately and with good intentions. Make decisions with integrity.

How can you Do the Right Thing at work?

You are honest and act with integrity. You are mindful of how you speak to others and share feedback in a productive manner. You are quick to admit mistakes and work to correct them. If you say you’ll do something, you do it. You make the right choice even when it’s hard.

Value #4 – Be Courageous

Challenge the status quo and have the courage to adapt to change.

How can you Be Courageous at work?

You share your ideas, even if they are controversial or go against established norms. You make tough decisions when needed. You know when you need help and aren’t afraid to ask for it. You are not afraid to fail and try different approaches until you succeed. You are flexible when presented with changes in processes, procedures or goals. You question actions that are inconsistent with our values, regardless of title.

Value # 5 – Drive for Results

Do better than our competitors and be accountable for results.

How can you Drive for Results at work?

You push yourself to accomplish important work and exceed goals. You demonstrate consistently strong performance that sets a standard for others to follow.
