Philly Cheesesteak Sausage Dogs
Salty sausage + sweet Hawaiian rolls are the perfect base for these Philly Cheesesteak Dogs. Throw on some sauteed veggies and provolone cheese and brush them with an herbed butter – you just might be serving up the best Philly Cheesesteak in town.
Ingredients
- 1 Package Bob Evans Original Pork Sausage Links
- 1 onion sliced
- 1 green bell pepper sliced
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 2 Cloves garlic minced
- 7 Slices provolone cheese
- 7 Hawaiian sweet mini sub rolls
- 3 Tablespoons garlic and herb butter melted

- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Cook sausage links according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, cook onion and bell pepper in hot oil in a large skillet over medium heat until tender.
- Add garlic; cook 30 seconds longer.
- Arrange cheese slices in mini sub rolls on a baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and rolls are toasted.
- Fill toasted rolls with 2 sausage links each and desired amount of onion mixture. Brush with melted garlic and herb butter.
