Crispy Sausage and Boursin Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 Package Bob Evans Original Pork Sausage Patties (8-count)
  • 1/2 Cup garlic and fine herbs cheese
  • 1/2 Cup all purpose flour
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 Cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 Tablespoons hot honey
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh thyme laves

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Cook sausage according to package directions; drain on paper towels.
  3. Spread about 1 Tbsp cheese over each sausage patty.
  4. Place flour in a shallow bowl. Lightly beat eggs in a separate shallow bowl. Stir together breadcrumbs and oil in a third shallow bowl.
  5. Dredge cheese topped sausage patty in flour, shaking off excess. Dip in beaten egg, then dredge in breadcrumb mixture to coat. Place on a parchment paper-lined rimmed baking sheet.
  6. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown. Drizzle with hot honey and sprinkle with thyme. Serve immediately.

For testing purposes only, we used Boursin cheese.
