Mac and Cheese Patty Melts with Fries
Talk about a gourmet patty melt! Start with a seasoned beef patty, top it with mac and cheese, onions, and more cheese, and then grill it to golden perfection. Serve this indulgent melt with fries for a diner-like experience.
Ingredients
- 20 Ounces Bob Evans Macaroni & Cheese
- 1⁄2 Cup butter, plus 2 tablespoon softened and divided
- 2 Onions thinly sliced
- 2 Pounds ground beef
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 Teaspoon pepper
- 12 Slices Texas toast
- 12 Slices Colby Jack cheese
- 32 Ounces frozen french fries

- Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add onions, and cook, stirring occasionally, until onions are tender and golden brown.
- Stir together beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a large bowl; shape into 6 thin patties.
- Cook patties in a large skillet over medium heat 4 to 5 minutes per side or until done; remove from skillet, and wipe skillet clean.
- Heat Bob Evans® macaroni and cheese according to package directions.
- Top 6 slices toast each with 1 slice cheese, onions, patties, 1 slice cheese, and macaroni and cheese.
- Cover with remaining bread slices.
- Spread outsides of sandwiches with remaining softened butter.
- Cook sandwiches in same skillet over medium- low heat 4 to 5 minutes per side or until bread is toasted and cheese is melted.
- Serve and enjoy!
Bake fries according to package directions.
