Ingredients

  • 3½ plus ⅓ Cups all purpose flour, divided
  • 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 Tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ Teaspoon baking soda
  • 1¼ Cups cold butter, cubed
  • 1½ Cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 Cup cold buttermilk
  • 16 Ounces Bob Evans Original Roll Pork Sausage
  • ½ Cup onion, minced
  • 2 Cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Teaspoon pepper
  • 2 Cups milk
  • 2 Tablespoons hot honey
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Whisk together 3½ cups flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and baking soda in a large bowl.
  3. Cut in cold butter using a pastry blender or two forks until mixture is crumbly.
  4. Stir in cheese.
  5. Gradually stir in buttermilk until dough forms.
  6. Drop biscuits by ¼ cupfuls onto a lightly greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Meanwhile, cook sausage, onion and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until sausage is browned and crumbly.
  9. Add ⅓ cup flour and pepper; cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes.
  10. Gradually add milk, and cook until gravy is thickened.
  11. Stir in hot honey and parsley.
  12. Split biscuits, and spoon sausage gravy over biscuits.
