Sausage Wonton Cups
Crispy, cheesy, and full of bold flavor—these bite-sized cups are the perfect party starter! Each crunchy wonton wrapper is filled with a savory mix of Owens® Hot Pork Sausage, creamy softened cream cheese, and melty Monterey Jack for irresistible richness. Ingredients
- 32 Ounces Owens Hot Pork Sausage
- 1 Cup diced red bell pepper
- 8 Ounces cream cheese softened
- 8 Ounces shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 4 Ounces diced green chiles
- 1 Ounce taco seasoning mix
- 24 Wonton wrappers
- ½ Cup sour cream
- 3 Green onions sliced

- Cook sausage and bell pepper in a large skillet over medium heat until sausage is browned and crumbly; drain, and return to skillet.
- Add cream cheese, stirring until blended.
- Stir in shredded cheese, green chiles, and seasoning mix until blended. Remove from heat, and let cool 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400°F. Line wells of a (24-cup) miniature muffin pan with wonton wrappers. Spoon about 1 Tbsp sausage mixture into each wrapper.
- Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until wontons are golden brown and filling is hot and bubbly.
- Let cool 10 minutes before removing from pan. Top with sour cream and green onions before serving.
Note: Filling may be made up to 3 days ahead and refrigerated. Spoon filling into wonton wrappers just before baking.
