
Maple Sausage and Apple Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 Pound Bob Evans Maple Roll Pork Sausage
- 2 Apples diced
- 14 Ounces loaf French bread cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 Cup dried cranberries
- 1 Cup heavy cream
- 1 Cup whole milk
- 8 Large eggs
- ½ Cup granulated sugar
- 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
- ½ Teaspoon grated nutmeg
- ¼ Cup maple syrup

- Cook sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly.
- Add apples; cook 3 minutes.
- Transfer to a large bowl and stir in cubed bread and cranberries.
- Pour cream, milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg into the container of a blender. Process until smooth.
- Slowly pour over sausage mixture; stir gently to coat.
- Cover and refrigerate 1 to 12 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Uncover bread pudding mixture; stir gently.
- Pour into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Let stand at room temperature 30 minutes.
- Bake 45 minutes or until bread is puffed and golden brown.
- Drizzle with maple syrup.

Note: Use day-old bread for best results, or cube bread and let it stand for a few hours (or overnight) to dry out.
