Shareable Hash Brown Board
Golden crispy hash brown cakes are paired with smoked salmon, bacon, maple butter, cinnamon apples, cheese, and flavorful toppings for a fun, interactive brunch experience.
Ingredients
- ½ Cup and 4 tablespoons softened butter divided
- 1 Honeycrisp apple thinly sliced
- 2 Tablespoons packed brown sugar
- ½ Teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 Tablespoons maple syrup
- 20 Ounces Simply Potatoes Shredded Hash Browns
- 1 Cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 4 Ounces smoked salmon
- 8 Slices bacon cooked and crumbled
- 1 Cup shredded Colby Jack cheese
- ½ Cup garlic aioli
- 2 Tablespoons drained capers

- Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add apple slices and brown sugar.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon; set aside.
- Beat ½ cup butter with maple syrup until fluffy and smooth; set aside.
- Squeeze potatoes dry between several layers of paper towels.
- Stir together potatoes, cheese, and cornstarch in a large bowl.
- Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
- Divide potato mixture into 12 mounds.
- Press each into a thin pancake.
- Melt 2 tablespoons butter with oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook potato cakes, in batches, 8 minutes or until potatoes are crispy on the bottom.
- Flip potatoes, and cook 8 minutes or until potatoes are browned.
- Arrange crispy potato cakes on a platter.
- Serve with cinnamon apples, maple butter, smoked salmon, crispy bacon, shredded cheese, garlic aioli, and capers.
